The holy ordinary
and a grilled cheese as radiant
as the halo of flies swarming
the dirty diapers
A squirrel burst the
seed bag and ate
all the sunflower seeds.
I clean it up
with a rusty spade
One quiet moment
when the baby falls asleep
and sunlight shines on the fresh rain
and we are reunited after school
fresh pizza filling the oven.
If I don’t find You in this
I won’t find You anywhere
I’m the seedbag and the diaper
and you’re buzzing and bursting
within and around me
always.
